Actor and comedian Jay Johnston, who is best known as the voice of the villainous Jimmy Pesto Sr. on the long-running animated sitcom “Bob’s Burgers,” is expected to plead guilty for his role in the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the Captiol.

Johnston is expected to change his plea from not guilty to guilty during a plea agreement hearing scheduled for July 8,Johnston is facing four counts, including felony obstruction of officers in connection with the Jan. 6 insurrection, and knowingly entering a restricted building unlawfully and impeding passage through, or within, Capitol grounds or any Capitol buildings.

Video footage reportedly shows Johnston pushing against police and helping rioters who were attacking officers guarding an entrance to the Capitol. Johnston is shown holding a stolen police shield over his head and passing it to other rioters during the Jan. 6 attack.
