During Disney's quarterly earnings call, CEO Bob Iger detailed Marvel's plans to scale back and limit the number of projects per year.
“We’re slowly going to decrease volume and go to probably about two TV series a year instead of what had become four, and reduce our film output from maybe four a year to two, or a maximum of three,” Iger said viaIger teased the upcoming schedule of movies and TV shows, including a “couple of good films in ’25,” followed by more

Without counting 2020 , 2024 is the first year since 2012 that Marvel will only release one film.
Meanwhile, Avengers 5 is scheduled for May 1, 2026, with Avengers: Secret Wars premiering the following year on May 7, 2027. In television, the only live-action MCU series confirmed for late 2024 is Agatha, the WandaVision spin-off starring Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness.
