Fanatics and Boardroom team up to offer a three-day professional development program for athletes. The first program, 'Boardroom Meeting House,' will take place at Fanatics Fest in New York City.
Fanatics and Boardroom announced a collaborative partnership on Thursday with the goal of empowering athletes in their business ventures after retirement. Boardroom , a sports media and entertainment platform co-founded by NBA superstar Kevin Durant and business manager Rich Kleiman , will team up with Fanatics to deliver a comprehensive three-day professional development program tailored specifically for athletes and their management teams.
The inaugural program, christened 'Boardroom Meeting House,' will unfold during the second annual Fanatics Fest, scheduled for June 20-22 at the Javits Center in New York City. 'Boardroom Meeting House' promises a diverse array of experiences, encompassing one-on-one mentorship sessions, exclusive dinners with prominent CEOs, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders, curated panel discussions featuring insightful perspectives, hands-on workshops led by Fanatics executives, a stimulating Mitchell & Ness design challenge, and the immersive 'Boardroom Meeting House' experience at Fanatics Fest. Kleiman, who also serves as Durant's agent, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, 'The essence of Boardroom has always been to bridge the gap and bring individuals into the influential spaces we're fortunate to inhabit, creating platforms for knowledge sharing. I'm thrilled to collaborate with Michael Rubin and the exceptional team at Fanatics to amplify the impactful work they've already accomplished in this domain, presenting athletes and their teams with unparalleled programming.' Michael Rubin, CEO of Fanatics, echoed the sentiment, proclaiming, 'We are immensely excited to partner with Rich, KD, and the entire Boardroom team to revolutionize and elevate Fanatics' athlete development initiatives. Fanatics' existence stems from the extraordinary athletes across all sports and the profound connections they forge with fans worldwide. Our commitment lies in creating opportunities for these athletes to flourish beyond their playing careers. This program is meticulously designed to achieve precisely that.' In addition to the June program, another three-day 'Boardroom Meeting House' event is slated to take place in December, coinciding with the offseason for Major League Baseball, the Women's National Basketball Association, and the National Women's Soccer League. Last year's Fanatics Fest attracted a stellar lineup of sports luminaries, including Durant, Tom Brady, Derek Jeter, Peyton and Eli Manning, Triple H, David Ortiz, and Logan and Jake Paul. This year's event is poised to feature an equally impressive cast, with confirmed attendees including Brady, Jayden Daniels, Ja'Marr Chase, and Micah Parsons, alongside numerous other notable figures yet to be announced.
