Bo Horvat's recent hot streak continues, with the Islanders center finding success alongside linemate Tsyplakov. Coach Patrick Roy praises Horvat's shooting and the dynamic of their pairing, even as it prevents a reunion with Mathew Barzal.
Less than three weeks ago, Bo Horvat was struggling with a 13-game scoreless streak. However, since then, he has been on a scoring tear, racking up eight points (four goals and four assists) in his past seven games. This includes a season-high three points in a 6-3 victory over the Maple Leafs on Saturday. Coach Patrick Roy attributes Horvat's recent success to his shooting confidence and his pairing with linemate Tsyplakov.
Since they were first put together on the ice on December 7th, the duo has outscored opponents 8-2 at five-on-five.\Roy is committed to keeping Horvat and Tsyplakov together even as the Islanders' forward group gets healthier, although this decision has prevented Horvat from playing alongside fellow star Mathew Barzal. Roy believes that the current line combinations suit both players' strengths, with Horvat thriving on quick puck movement and Barzal preferring to skate with the puck in the neutral zone
