Chew is a comic book series that follows Tony Chu, an FDA agent with the unusual ability to gain psychic visions from anything he eats. Created by writer John Layman and artist Rob Guillory, the series features several storylines, including Taster’s Choice, Flambé, Space Cakes, Bad Apples, and The Last Suppers. The critically acclaimed comics have won two Eisner Awards and two Harvey Awards.
The co-creator and artist of the Image Comics series Chew, Guillory, revealed that the indie comics will be adapted for TV by Blumhouse and Atomic Monster. Guillory first revealed the news on his official Facebook page, stating,"FUN FACT: My comic CHEW is officially in development for live action TV at Blumhouse Productions/Atomic Monster.
" Very little is known about Blumhouse's upcoming TV adaptation of Chew at the time of this article's publication. The artist explained on social media that he is not allowed to reveal any details beyond the project's existence. He added that information such as casting is strictly under wraps and that any major update regarding the series won't be announced through his Facebook account. More to come...
