Penrith's Stephen Crichton has been called into the starting centre role once again, with Canterbury's Matt Burton now 18th man. Crichton scored a try that gave the Blues the lead in the 66th minute of Game One, but Queensland hit back with two tries in the final minutes to snatch a famous victory and leave NSW on the precipice of their third series loss in the past four years.
Mitchell has been a dominant force at Origin level since making his debut back in 2018, but was absent for the entirety of the 2020 and 2022 series that Queensland won.
