Andrew Caley expects a lot more offense in Colorado tonight, with Daulton Varsho taking center stage in his Blue Jays predictions.
Daulton Varsho found his power stroke in Game 1 of this set vs. the Rockies, and we like the Blue Jays outfielder to rack up the total bases once again.Photo By - Imagn Images. Blue Jays OF Daulton Varsho broke out in a big way with a 3-run home run on Monday.
There’s nothing like a trip to Coors Field to get your offense back in the swing of things, and the Toronto Blue Jays sure did that against the Colorado Rockies on Monday. The Blue Jays exploded for 15 runs, and they’ll look to keep bashing baseballs in Game 2 tonight. And one player who needed the Coors boost was Daulton Varsho.had multiple hits last night , on their way to a 15-1 win over thecollecting his first hits since the end of May. The Blue Jays' Gold Glove centerfielder had been out since June 1 with a hamstring injury before returning to action for the final two games of the series against the Kansas City Royals. You could tell Varsho was still trying to find his timing at the dish in those first two games, going 0-for-6 with four strikeouts. But it sure looked like he found that timing in Denver, going 2-for-5 with four RBI while hitting his ninth home run of the season. Varsho has never hit for a high batting average, but his slugging ways play well in Coors Field's thin air. The Rockies have called up Anthony Molina to make a spot start tonight. The 23-year-old right-hander has allowed seven earned runs on 13 hits, including three home runs, in just 8 2/3 innings of work. Molina hasn’t pitched more than two innings this season, so three is probably his ceiling before handing the ball to a bullpen that ranks 29th in ERA, opponent batting average, and strikeout rate.Guerrero burned us last night by being the only guy in the starting lineup with just one hit. But he’s still the team's best hitter, and there will be a lot of baserunners again tonight.. He’s hitting .385 with a 1.024 OPS since the All-Star break and has multiple hits in three of his last games overall. After hitting about 850 feet of home runs last night, he's got another multi-hit game in him tonight.Canada's home for betting on the Toronto Blue Jays, elevate your game with BetVictor and get access to competitive odds, great daily promotions, and more — for all 162 games!: Our team of experts has thoroughly researched and handpicked each product that appears on our website.
