Tom Selleck in cop clothes in Blue Bloods
The Big Picture Fourteen years is a long time for any TV show to be on air. That's why the fact that Blue Bloods thrived for fourteen seasons, beating newcomers in Friday night ratings season after season, is all the more impressive. Unfortunately, CBS opted to end the series in the current season, surprising fans who thought a renewal was guaranteed. Despite calls to keep the show on air, CBS remained steadfast in that decision.
“We’ve got to get it right so we’re taking our time and trying to figure it out, okay, what is the next iteration of Blue Bloods? We have a whole season to go where we intend to celebrate it all season long as to how good that show is, so there’s still time for us to figure that out.”
