of protestor Jen Reid standing atop the empty plinth during the protests, the black resin statue - called- visualises Reid raising her fist to give back power to the slaves who died at the hands of Colston. The photograph was taken by her husband, who Quinn contacted directly about the sculpture. Soon after, Reid was brought into his studio to be 3D printed and moulded.
Although the sculpture was only meant as a temporary installation to reignite the conversation around racism, and was not officially granted permission by Bristol's city council, the statue's message – no matter how long it stands – will have a permanent place in the rewrite of Britain's racist history.
