The NBA revealed in its “Last Two Minutes Report” Saturday that Grant took three steps on his final shot at the buzzer to give Portland an 108-106 win Friday night over Phoenix at Footprint Center.
The play was reviewed after the game to see if Grant got the shot off before the clock expired and it was confirmed he did. Justise Winslow threw the inbounds pass over Bismack Biyombo to the opposite side to Grant, who awkwardly caught it, gathered and scored. On the play before, Suns wing Mikal Bridges was called for traveling with one second left. The NBA concluded that was the incorrect call.
