“I’m glad that Adam is singing and not speaking,” the country star joked.
Adam Levine and Blake Shelton were both two of the original judges on “The Voce” when it premiered in 2011.After Levine — who exited the show in 2019 — sang “Middle Ground,” Shelton raced up to the stage and gave his old pal a big hug.
“I can’t imagine tonight without Adam being back for Blake’s final show. … It’s special to have Adam here,” Daly said as the two bros got close.Shelton left the NBC series after season 23.earlier this month. However, the country music icon made guest appearances on season 23, acting as a Mega Mentor for contestants. She also took on a Battle Adviser role for Shelton’s team way back in the competition series’ inaugural season in 2011.last month on “The Jennifer Hudson Show.”
“It’s always a lot of fun to give advice because I study people when they perform and I want to be touched when they’re singing to me,” McEntire explained.
