Sources told Deadline that Lively, Reynolds, and a third unnamed actor made the decision not to attend the ceremony “well in advance” of Lively’s complaint filing and ongoing legal battle with Baldoni, 40.
Nikki Glaser, who will be hosting the Golden Globes, recently confirmed that she will not make jokes about Lively’s legal fight with Baldoni during the ceremony, nor will she mention the topic. 'I think the Blake Lively–Justin Baldoni thing is such a hot-button thing right now that even a mere mention of it will seem like I could be on the wrong side of things,' Glaser, 40, told The Hollywood Reporter. 'I also don't want to give his name any — I'm mad I even know his name, to be honest with you, so I don't need to say it anymore,' she added. An insider close to Lively told PEOPLE that the actress is focused on the present moment and believes she is doing the right thing. 'She enjoyed the holidays and very much tries to live in the moment right now,” the insider said. 'She still believes she's doing the right thing. She's ready to tackle whatever comes her way.
