Blake Lively's legal team has responded to Justin Baldoni's $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times, claiming the article relied on an unverified narrative and omitted critical context.
Blake Lively ’s legal team has responded to Justin Baldoni ’s $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times . The lawsuit accuses Ryan Reynolds and Blake of allegedly “berating” Justin in an “inappropriate and humiliating” manner at their NYC penthouse while other celebrity guests walked in and out. It also claims Justin attempted to “destroy” Blake's reputation with a 'social manipulation' campaign and that his alleged behavior caused Blake “severe emotional distress.
” The suit alleged that these claims were addressed while filming was underway during a meeting with multiple attendees, including Blake's husband. During the meeting, Blake allegedly requested that Justin not discuss her body or weight, stop discussing “sexual conquests” on set, and stop adding sex scenes to the script, among other claims. Blake also claimed that both Justin and Jamey had entered her trailer uninvited multiple times while she was undressed and/or breastfeeding and that Justin had allegedly 'improvised unwanted kissing' as they filmed. Justin and several other plaintiffs — including publicists Melissa Nathan and Jennifer Abel — have filed a $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times, accusing the outlet of relying “almost entirely” on Blake’s “unverified and self-serving narrative” and purposefully omitting evidence from its article that allegedly contradicted Blake’s claims.Justin and his camp are suing for libel, false light invasion of privacy, promissory fraud, and breach of an implied-in-fact contract. The filing provides alleged full screenshots — and according to some, text messages from Justin’s publicists, Melissa and Jennifer, were taken out of context
