BLACKPINK’s Jennie Invited To 76th Cannes Film Festival + Participation Yet To Be Decided
On April 13 , the 76th Cannes Film Festival announced the invited productions of this year, and among them, “The Idol” was included in the Out of Competition category.
Created by The Weeknd and “Euphoria” creator Sam Levinson, “The Idol” is a new series about a pop singer named Jocelyn who strikes up a romance with an enigmatic cult leader . The series, which marks Jennie’s acting debut, is reported to premiere out of competition at the 76th Cannes Film Festival in May 2023.
On whether Jennie will be attending the event, YG Entertainment remarked, “She was invited. Whether she will attend or not is yet to be decided.”
