The Blackhawks have placed Kevin Lankinen on injured reserve with a right hand injury and he is expected to miss roughly three weeks, according to a source.
It's unclear when Lankinen may have sustained the injury. He finished the game on Saturday with no visible discomfort following the overtime winner.
Arvid Soderblom has been recalled from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League and assigned to Chicago's active roster. He's expected to serve as Marc-Andre Fleury's backup, although Cale Morris is also on the active roster. The Blackhawks have five games remaining before the NHL All-Star break, three of which are against Central Division opponents. You have to think Fleury will get all the work over the next week and a half.
