You need an episode about someone who's murdering people in order to make more docs.
That was an idea at one point, I think, but it was hard to see how you then logically tie it off as a story. Maybe that will happen. Or, we'll get an AI service that generates endless true crime documentaries about killers that aren't real, so you've got more true crime documentaries to watch—starring people from your street! When it comes to generating cliched material, AI is fine. That's the problem in a way, isn't it?Yes, there's loads of Easter eggs.
And then “Mazey Day” is set in the early noughties. That one, I flip flopped between making it a Red Mirror and a—because otherwise we were blowing the slightly outrageous twist that happens there. But again, I was just trying to experiment a bit with whatwas. I don't want to sit here feeling like I'm in a box where I have to write an episode about NFTs or whatever's on the tech pages today. That's not what the show was ever intended to do.
