Black people who inspire all communities from the past, the present and in future in being active in their community offering positivity within Liverpool

Black History Month in the UK is celebrated each October, with a month packed with events recognising many overlooked Black contributions to history locally and beyond.

Brodie runs a project called YouFoundation with Leah Watson and they’ve helped young people aged 11 - 16 with their mental health and wellbeing.Rahima became the first female Somali councillor in Liverpool at this year's elections in May and represents the Toxteth Ward in Liverpool 8. Rahima won an award in 2022 for her work in the health sector working with communities, which was presented to her by the former Mayor of Liverpool Joanne Anderson.

This year, 39 of 43 of the students he helped passed maths GCSE after being predicted to fail or fall short. He serves as a beacon of hope for the community after graduating university with three degrees and completing his LPC to qualify as a solicitor.
