Patrick Manning, a managing partner at Black Desert, said the PGA Tour In October and the LPGA Tour in May are expected to bring in $75 million. Additional revenue through the rest of the year from the resort is projected at $200 Million.“In the Ivins portion, which is just half of the property, there will be 14 restaurants including out on the boardwalk. This is all shops, restaurants, cobblestone streets, no cars. It’s like a modern European village,” said Manning.
“Utah Tech really stepped up and created a hospitality and resort management program. They’ve already began feeding us interns who will have a degree in this,” said Manning. “People don’t realize there is about 150 jobs that are created in a resort of this size. From hospitality and accounting to hospitality and legal, there is a lot to do. For a lot of people, it’s opened their mind to a career path that they didn’t know existed.
