The latest sickly sweet soda concoction has the internet in a fizzy.
" Protein Diet Coke" has taken TikTok by storm, as users create the unusual concoction inspired by the momfluencers of"The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives."But the #MomTok drink — which involves adding flavored syrups and creamers into your pop of choice — has taken on a new form online as TikTokkers create their own mash-ups, using Diet Coke.
“You take something like a Diet Coke that doesn’t really have any nutrition, and you’re increasing the nutrition of it, essentially,” she explained., registered dietitian Natalie Rizzo noted that the “Protein Diet Coke” concoction has about as many calories as a full sugar Coke, adding that it’s fine to drink “in moderation.”
“Think of it as a protein drink with a splash of sugar-free soda for added flavor. But again, you could just drink the protein milk on its own.”
