The Bishop McDevitt senior quarterback and Kentucky commit tied former Steel-High quarterback Alex Erby atop the state’s list for career touchdown passes with his big first half in Friday’s game against Carlisle. Saunders threw six touchdowns, tying Erby at 176 for his career, to help Bishop McDevitt take a 49-0 lead to the break.
McD QB Stone Saunders just tied Steel-High’s Alex Erby for the state’s all-time mark in career passing touchdowns. This 10-yarder to Nazir Jones-Davis comes on first-and-goal at the Carlisle 10. 40 seconds before halftime. The Kentucky recruit has 6 TDs on the night. 176 total.It was the second touchdown pass of the night for Saunders to Jones-Davis. He finished the half with 244 yards on 13-of-16 passing.
A four-year starter, Saunders landed in Carlisle with 170 career touchdown passes.
