ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Bills running back Damien Harris was taken off the field by an ambulance during the second quarter of Sunday night's home game against the New York Giants.
Harris was injured after he gained a yard on a third-and-1 carry with 3 minutes, and 15 seconds to play before halftime. He gave the crowd a thumbs-up as he was loaded into the ambulance atThe"Sunday Night Football" crew reported before halftime that Harris had sustained a neck injury and was moving his extremities. The game was delayed for about five minutes while he was examined on the field, and he was taken to a hospital to be evaluated further.
Entering the game, Harris had 22 carries for 93 yards and a touchdown, as well as two catches for 16 yards. Harris spent his first four seasons with the New England Patriots before joining the Bills as a free agent. WPMT would like to send you push notifications about the latest news and weather.
