Billionaire Stephen Ross insists Hudson Yards is for everyone—and he’s unhappy that no one believes him

He prefers to talk about how excited he is that Hudson Yards is “like a city within a city. . . a real live, work, play environment that’s right in the heart of New York.” That is if you consider the heart of the city to be an old Long Island Rail Road yard on the edge of the Hudson River that had to be topped with a $1 billion platform before construction on most of Hudson Yards’ buildings could begin in 2014.
