Billionaire Robert F. Smith's awkward James Bond-themed birthday bash featured strict security and port-a-potties — despite being held at his multimillion dollar mansion with 15 bathrooms

Guests who showed up to billionaire Robert F. Smith's 25,000-square-foot estate for his 60th birthday bash said they were met with a rather awkward celebration.

An estimated 60 attendees came to the James Bond-themed party last weekend at Smith's $48 million Palm Beach mansion, but weren't encouraged to enter the home and had their phones taken away before the event began, according toThe celebration was reportedly a surprise party for Smith — founder and CEO of Vista Equity Partners and America's wealthiest Black businessman with an estimated net worth of $8 billion — thrown by his wife, former Playboy Playmate, Hope Dworaczyk.

Guests described a"massive security" presence at the event, which took place just days after the death of Carlos Kepke, a lawyer charged with allegedly helping Smith's company"They frisked you when you came out of the bathroom," one guest told New York Post, suggesting it was in an effort to search for hidden cameras and other surveillance technology.

Despite the home boasting 15 bathrooms, guests say they were asked to use port-a-potties placed outside during the five-hour long party. In keeping with the Bond theme, Dworaczyck planned a"high-impact action sequence" to be performed by a James Bond-like character, but the show had to be cancelled due to weather, according to the Post. However, guests were treated to a performance from R&B star Usher."The 'Bond' theme was a non-event. It wasn't a great party," the guest told the New York Post.
