Republicans gained a majority in the Senate and kept control of the House of Representatives. President-elect Donald Trump will also have the power to appoint a new Supreme Court justice should one resign or pass away. "But they do. They live here, and they actually see women and people of color,” Maher explained. “And, it doesn’t look like some patriarchal, racist nightmare.”
