Penn State will only open up conference play against Illinois on Sept. 28.
The Big Ten conference has released Penn State's full football schedule for the 2024-2025 season. The Nittany Lions will open their season on Aug. 31 against the West Virginia Mountaineers for the second consecutive year, but this time will be on the road in Morgantown. After the trip to West Virginia, Penn State will begin a four-game homestand against Bowling Green, the first of their two bye weeks, Kent State, Illinois and one of the newcomers to the Big 10 in the UCLA Bruins.
On Oct. 12, Penn State will travel to Los Angeles for their second road matchup of the season, taking on Lincoln Riley and the USC Trojans. Week 8 will be the Nittany Lions' second bye week before traveling to Madison to take on the Wisconsin Badgers on Oct. 26. The next two games will be the toughest slate of the year, as Ohio State and Washington come to Happy Valley in back-to-back weeks on Nov. 2 and Nov. 9.
