“Our program is at a point finally we can say we’re here to compete for Big Ten championships,” Locksley said last month. “You haven’t heard me say that in the previous four times I’ve been in front of you guys, but I think now is the time.” “The players and coaches in our program know what our expectations are,” Locksley said. “They know that the work has to supersede the goal. We’re not going to let a goal of wanting to compete for championships get in the way of the type of work and the amount of work it’s going to take to do that.”
