We chat with BigShot stars Nell Verlaque, Sophia Mitri Schloss & Sara Echeagaray about welcoming boys to Westbrook, and what new player Ava faces in season 2 of the DisneyPlus series:
The Westbrook Sirens will never be the same once Big Shot season 2 premieres on October 12. The Disney+ show stars John Stamos as a begrudging coach of a high school girls' basketball team, and it won over many hearts last season with its frank take on modern issues teenagers face. This year, not only is coed education on the table, but the girls will see firsthand how much better boys' teams have it in high school sports.
Sara Echeagaray: Coming into season 2, she's a new character. She has a very bold personality, as we see in the trailer. She is kind of like a mean girl, I would say. She shakes the dynamic up a lot in season 2, especially with her teammates on the basketball team. And she loves to butt heads, especially with Nell's character, Louise.
Nell Verlaque: A gentleman who really makes my life complicated. It was great to have that new addition. I think it makes the friendships with all the girls stronger, and you'll get to see the drama unfold with that. But it was also great to see Louise have a different outlook on everything, and see how much she changes.
They're both really strong-willed, they're both really determined, and they both often think that they are right. So, they butt heads a lot. It can be painful to see, or it can be really cool to see your own relationship with somebody in that. I think there's just a lot to explore, and I'm glad that we got into it this season. Because I think we really go there.
