WWE WrestleMania has a new match confirmed for it's match card coming out of this week's episode of Raw.
Becky Lynch made it clear in Boston on Monday night that she has no intention of letting her Women's Intercontinental Championship loss go quietly. The Man took the ring at TD Garden on the March 23 episode of Raw and was met with a hostile reception from the crowd.
She addressed the boos immediately, telling fans she took time away from WWE because they had grown tired of seeing her succeed, and that she went home to be with her family. Lynch then explained why she targeted the Women's Intercontinental Championship upon her return. She said she built the title into the most represented women's championship in all of wrestling and that she is proud of what she made it. With AJ Lee now holding the belt, Lynch made it clear she is not comfortable watching Lee walk around with a title she considers her own.The promo took a personal turn when Lynch brought up her daughter. She told the Boston crowd that when she got home after her loss, her daughter was singing what she called"that stupid light it up song" and flipping her hair like AJ Lee, without realizing that her mother is the greatest women's wrestler in the world. The comments build on what has already been a heated rivalry between the two. AJ Lee defeated Lynch at Elimination Chamber 2026 in Chicago to capture the Women's Intercontinental Championship, winning her first title in over a decade. The match ended when Lee locked in the Black Widow after Lynch accidentally knocked out referee Jessika Carr, with Lynch tapping out a second time once the referee was back on her feet.The following week on Raw, after Lee successfully defended the title against Bayley, Lynch attacked Lee and tossed her down the entrance ramp into the barricades before hitting her with the championship belt and dropping it on her. Lynch held the Women's Intercontinental Championship for a significant run before losing it to Lee and has been one of the division's most prominent figures since the title's introduction. Lee, who returned to WWE earlier this year, described the championship win as unexpected, saying that coming back she only wanted to get her hands on Lynch and that the title opportunity was an added bonus. WrestleMania 42 is less than four weeks away, with both Lynch and Lee expected to continue their feud heading into the April 18-19 show in Las Vegas.U.S.
