Red Utley’s Hometown Red is from Gatlinburg, Tennessee, specifically the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee. In his Big Brother 25 premiere night package, Red said, "I think a lot of people have a misconception of what a mountain feller is. A feller driving a big truck, jamming Hank Williams." However, Red stated that he's what people call a "chillbilly," describing himself as being "like a cross between a hippie and a hillbilly.
