'Big Aunty', a story of grief and reconciliation by DredieMann
The first home produced show of the spring season, directed by Corey Campbell, will play in The BelgradeBELGRADE THEATRE Creative Director Corey Campbell has devised and directed a new production called “Big Aunty,” which features Midlands-born performers Alexia McIntosh and Kieran Hamilton-Amos.
The play is a darkly comic family drama that follows the lives of several children raised by Big Aunty, a matriarch who recently passed away and left a big hole in everyone’s world. McIntosh, who trained at the Birmingham School of Acting, will play one of the children, while Hamilton-Amos, a graduate of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, will play another.Campbell, who is also the Artistic Director of the Strictly Arts Theatre Company, hopes that “Big Aunty” will offer hope and healing to those who have experienced loss over the past few years.
