.POTUS slammed freedomcaucus's debt ceiling proposal, saying it portrays a 'very different value set' to his own. The Freedom Caucus's demands target a number of Democratic-led proposals as being “wasteful” and overtly partisan.
The comment came at the end of the president's prepared remarks on the economy, which he insisted is strong even amid high inflation."Members of the House Freedom Caucus would consider voting to raise the debt ceiling contingent upon the enactment of legislation," Biden said."Do you know what the essence of the enactment of that legislation is? Cut all spending other than defense by 25%.
"Twenty-five percent across the board.
