SAN FRANCISCO, USA – The risks of artificial intelligence to national security and the economy need to be addressed, US President Joe Biden said on Tuesday, June 20, adding he would seek expert advice.
Biden met a group of civil society leaders and advocates, who have previously criticized the influence of major tech companies, to discuss artificial intelligence.Several governments are considering how to mitigate the dangers of the emerging technology, which has experienced a boom in investment and consumer popularity in recent months after the release of OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
