Former Vice President Joe Biden, the Democratic National Committee, and affiliated joint fundraising committees entered the month of September with $466 million cash on hand, a massive stockpile that will aid the Democratic nominee's effort to unseat President Donald Trump in November, a Biden campaign

That sum is over $140 million more than President Trump, the Republican National Committee and affiliated joint fundraising committees have on hand, which at the beginning of September was $325 million, according to Trump campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh.

Biden's massive coffers going into September were due in part to a record-shattering August that saw the joint Democratic effort raise over $365 million. Trump and the GOP brought in $210 million in August.
