The minute-long video places the former president’s words against the image of the American cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer.
President Joe Biden walks past a German fortified concrete gun emplacement with Scott Desjardins, superintendent of the Normandy American Cemetery, after speaking at Pointe du Hoc, where U.S. Army Rangers scaled cliffs over 100 feet high on D-Day.
The video goes on to quote Trump making fun of the late Sen. John McCain , who Trump said was only a “war hero because he was captured.” And throughout the video, Trump’s comments are spliced over images of wounded soldiers, military families reuniting and fallen soldiers returning home in caskets draped with the American flag.
