President Joe Biden asked his son Hunter Wednesday to stand and be recognized at an Ireland event billed as an ancestral homecoming for the first family.
In April 2014, Hunter joined the board of Ukrainian gas company Burisma and earned up to $1 million per year despite no relevant industry experience, asHunter, 53, was by his father’s side throughout the day after spending Easter weekend at Camp David.
“We are arriving late tonight on Air Force 2 to Mx City. I’m attending meeting [with Mexican] President [Peña Nieto] and dad. Would love to see you but you never respond. I am really upset by it,” Hunter wrote in an email recovered from his abandoned laptop, noting, “We have been talking about business deals for 7 years. And I really appreciate you letting me stay at your resort villa . . .
The 80-year-old president has repeatedly said that he’s “proud” of Hunter, while attempting to frame his legal issues as aCritics note, however, that such dealings spanned more than a decade and involved other members of the Biden family. “I have great confidence in my son.
