The other candidates were Lawyer Joseph Bartolata, the vice president for administration and finance; Arnulfo Malinis, administrator of the Center for Technology Commercialization and Enterprise Development; Lawyer Alex Nepomuceno, dean of the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy; and Dr. Ofelia Samay-Sy, dean of the College of Medicine.
