This article reviews the new menu additions at Bibibop, a fast-casual Korean rice bowl chain. The author shares their experience with the nine new ingredients, highlighting their freshness and healthy options.

I've driven past Bibibop restaurants dozens of times. I never stopped because I didn’t know enough about the Columbus-based chain. I didn’t want to try another wanna-be-ethnic, fast-food chain. (Call me a food snob.)Last week, I ate at the Mentor store, one of eight scattered around Greater Cleveland. My mission was to try the nine new ingredients added to the Bibibop menu. I was pleasantly surprised by the new options and the food overall.

Still, I would rather the sweet potato starch noodles (270 calories), even if they add 50 percent more calories.: Honey-citrus kale (190 calories) -- I chose this as my second base because it is a superfood. The kale was chopped small, making it easy to eat, and lightly dressed with sweetness. It added a hearty and tasty texture. I would certainly order it again.: Crispy Romaine (35 calories) -- Boring compared to the other options. But, at only 35 calories, it keeps those New Year’s health resolutions.: Korean crispy chicken (350 calories) – I admit, I didn’t get a chance to try this oven-fried chicken. Guess I need another visi
