A 60-year-old American fugitive was arrested in Sta. Cruz, Zambales for sexual assault and statutory sexual seduction, according to the Bureau of Immigration (BI) on Wednesday.

Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco identified the suspect as Eduardo Rojas Minas, who was an overstaying American citizen and wanted by federal authorities in Nevada for sex crimes.

He said Minas eluded arrest and fled to the Philippines a month earlier and never left the country since then. BI-FSU acting chief Renell Ryan Sy, citing the information from the US authorities in Manila, said the suspect was charged before the Nevada court with two counts of sexual assault and two counts of statutory sexual seduction.
