Council members Emily Jabbour, Joe Quintero and Jim Doyle were also sworn in.

Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla and at-large council members Jim Doyle, Emily Jabbour, and Joe Quintero were sworn into office on New Year’s Day in a private ceremony due to the pandemic.

“It is the honor of a lifetime to be sworn in for a second term as Hoboken mayor,” Bhalla said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to the next four years as we make Hoboken an even better place to live. Thank you to my family and all of the supporters who have been a part of this journey. I know that for Hoboken, the best is yet to come.”Only the three at-large council seats were up in the 2021 races as Hoboken staggers its elections. The six ward council seats will be up in 2023.

“We are humbled and privileged to serve the residents of Hoboken on the City Council,” Doyle, Jabbour, and Quintero said in a joint statement. “We are grateful to our community for giving us the opportunity to serve the public and are eager to continue tackling the many issues before us.” This term will be Bhalla’s second. It will be the third term for Doyle, the second for Jabbour, and the first for Quintero.
