The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) recorded 10 fire incidents related to firecrackers during the celebration of the New Year, an official said Monday.
During the public briefing, BFP spokesperson Fire Superintendent Annalee Atienza said this is higher compared to previous years.
“At ngayon ma-attribute po siguro natin na medyo na-excite ang ating mga kababayan sa pag papaputok at ‘yun na nga po na dagdagan po ng kapabayaan kung saan na lang po ito naitala natin ang sampung insidente,” she added.“However, itong kwitis po kasi hindi siya prohibited sa majority dito sa naitala nitong fire incidents ay caused by nitong firecrackers na ito, itong kwitis,” she said.
