Spider-Man hanging from one arm in Spider-Man Beyond The Spider-Verse still
In a new interview with TechRadar, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller were asked about when the world will finally get to see the first Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse trailer, saying, "We can't really tell you that, but stay tuned," while Lord added the following tease: "Soon.
You'll see something soon...ish." The threequel has been in the works for several years, following the ending of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. However, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse has been taking longer to make, as the creative team is raising the stakes for Miles' third and final movie. The project was initially slated to open in 2024, but the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes in 2023 forced Sony to remove the film from the release schedule before it landed its spot in June 2027. When Could The Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse Trailer Get Released? Following Lord and Miller's comments, there is speculation about when the actual trailer for Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will be released, as "soon...ish" could mean anywhere from a few weeks to a couple of months. One major film event coming up is CinemaCon 2026, slated to take place between Sunday, April 12, and Thursday, April 16, and Sony Pictures is confirmed to be there on Monday, April 13. The studio is scheduled from 6:30 PM to 8:45 PM, when Sony will show an exclusive presentation to highlight their upcoming releases. It wouldn't be shocking at all if Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is revealed to the audience at CinemaCon. However, as of right now, it's only a theory as there have been no signs to suggest that the film will or will not be there this year. Another major event later this year for Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse would be San Diego Comic-Con 2026 in July, as the movie would be less than a year from opening. Giving it a big Hall H presentation would be the ideal way to give Miles' third installment a big moment, marketing-wise. That would also be an opportunity where they can release the trailer both at Comic-Con and online. While Beyond the Spider-Verse is Miles's last entry, there are more animated Spider-Man movies on their way from Lord and Miller's franchise, and events like CinemaCon and Comic-Con would be suitable times to show what comes after the 2027 installment. 2026 has to give the audience something, given how long they have been waiting to see the trilogy's completion. Since Lord and Miller were very cryptic, the marketing for Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is clearly happening sooner rather than later. However, since the first Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer was recently released, Sony will hopefully soon have something to roll out for Miller and Lord's third film for the web-crawler. The duo is also far from done with the Spider-Man property, as they have the upcoming live-action Spider-Noir TV show, bringing Nicolas Cage back as a new version of Spider-Man Noir, after having voiced the hero in Into the Spider-Verse.
