And just like Beyoncé did on “Cowboy Carter,” White covered Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” back when he was in The White Stripes. It wouldn’t be shocking if White gave Bey some tips when it comes to covering a legendary song like “Jolene.” White clearly loves the song as much as Bey, because he often covers it in his live shows. He did a snippet of the song when he performed on “Saturday Night Live” back in 2020, and it’s regarded as one of the best performances in “SNL” history. You can watch the performance below.
