Daily News | Beyonce’s Renaissance tour is coming to South Philly this summer
The long awaited announcement for the pop superstar’s concert trek for her 2022 album Renaissance is finally upon us.
On Wednesday morning, Beyoncé posted a photo of herself atop a metallic horse on Instagram accompanied by the words, ‘Renaissance World Tour.’ That confirmation that Queen Bey is heading out on the road for the first time since 2018 was followed by the details of individual dates. The tour will kick off in Stockholm, Sweden on May 10 and travel in Europe before a North American run begins in Toronto on July 8. That will be followed by the tour’s first U.S. show at Lincoln Financial Field in South Philadelphia on July 12.. Ticket on sale information is still to come.
In 2018, Beyoncé played the Linc with her husband Jay-Z on their joint On The Run Tour II. She also played the Eagles football stadium in 2016 on her Formation tour and the Wells Fargo Center in 2013 on the Mrs. Carter World Tour. She headlined Jay-Z’s Philadelphia music festival Made in America in 2013 and 2015.
