Beyonce’s name is, literally, one for the books — French dictionary Le Petit Larousse will add her name to its new edition
That entry will soon be added to the French Le Petit Larousse dictionary along with 39 other names, according to U.K. newspaper The Times.
Girac-Marinier added that many of the new words 'reflect concerns, developments or strong movements this year.' 2024 is a fitting year to add Beyoncé to the dictionary. In February, she became the first Black woman to ever top the Top Country Albums Chart with her album Cowboy Carter. It also made her the first Black artist ever to debut each of her first eight albums at No. 1. Each of the 23 eligible songs on Cowboy Carter made the Billboard Hot 100.
