Kelsea Ballerini had to acknowledge that Beyonce was in the house, and her impact on country music this year.
Beyoncé changed the game when she released her genre-bending country album, Cowboy Carter, in March, and Kelsea Ballerini made sure she got her flowers. Ballerini performed at Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards on Tuesday night for a rapt crowd of honorees, including Beyoncé’s mother, Miss Tina Knowles. And Beyoncé, along with Knowles’s bonus daughter Kelly Rowland, came to the ceremony to celebrate their mother’s big achievement.
” Women supporting women at Women of the Year, we love to see it! During her set, Ballerini performed an unreleased single before leading the crowd in a rendition of “Lean on Me,” which most of the audience, including Bey, joined in on. Knowles was honored as a Glamour Woman of the Year this year alongside other mothers of successful children: Maggie Baird, Mandy Teefey, and Donna Kelce.
