Pop superstar Beyoncé will perform at Kamala Harris' campaign rally in Houston on Friday, NBC News reports. Three sources told NBC News that Beyoncé will appear at the Friday rally in her hometown. One of the sources with direct knowledge of the preparations said the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer will also perform. Country music legend Willie Nelson and Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, will also be at the rally, according to the event page.
But she has signaled her support for the vice president in other ways, including granting the Harris campaign permission to use her song “Freedom” at events and in its first ad. There was also fervent speculation that Beyoncé would make a surprise appearance on the last night of the Democratic National Convention back in August, though that ultimately did not happen. The Houston rally will be Harris’ first appearance in Texas since running for president in this election.
