10, 2026, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said. The inspection was conducted by a team of five Texas Commission on Jail Standards inspectors and concluded on Wednesday. Under the TCJS risk-based inspection model, the Bexar County Adult Detention Center underwent an evaluation of the facility’s operations, maintenance, and inmate care protocols to ensure compliance with state-mandated minimum standards, according to the sheriff’s office. During a formal out-briefing, the inspection team met with Sheriff Javier Salazar to share feedback on findings discovered throughout the week. The sheriff’s office said two minor areas for improvement were identified during the walkthrough, but both were corrected on-site before the final out-briefing. The facility ultimately received a status of full compliance with no required follow-up action, the sheriff’s office said. “We are thankful for our team of TCJS inspectors. Their professionalism and guidance, not only during the inspection process but throughout the year, are invaluable to us. We credit our hard-working deputies and jail staff with the successful inspection outcome, and look forward to preparing for the next one,” Salazar said. The full 2026 TCJS Inspection Report is expected to be made available for public review in the coming days, according to the sheriff’s office.EL PASO, Texas — The Federal Aviation Administration is closing the airspace around El Paso International Airport in Texas for 10 days, grounding all flighThe Federal Aviation Administration has lifted the closure on the airspace in El Paso and all flights will resume as normal after the FAA had grounded all flighSAN ANTONIO — Authorities are searching for a teen suspect who fled from troopers during a morning high speed chase on the North Side. The crash happened aroundNew dashcam video released today shows the moments after a train collided with an 18-wheeler in Guadalupe County.
