MANILA, Philippines — Beware of private vehicle drivers pretending to be working for transportation network vehicle service companies, the warned the public in a statement issued on Wednesday.
“The LTFRB received reports coming from social media networks about a vehicle allegedly offering TNVS services among commuters but in a forcible manner and charged a much higher fare,” the LTFRB said.According to the LTFRB, a driver of the vehicle was seen by some netizens operating around a mall in Quezon City, allegedly offering TNVS rides.
On Monday, the Land Transportation Office said it released a show cause order for an owner of a vehicle who must make an appearance at the agency by Jan. 31 to give an explanation.
