TYPHOON 'Betty' has further weakened and its slow movement signified that it is changing direction on its way out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the state-run weather agency said on Wednesday.

But the enhanced southwest monsoon locally known as 'habagat' and Betty are expected to dump rains in most parts of the country, especially in Luzon, including Metro Manila, Obet Badrina of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.Moving north-northwestward slowly, Pagasa said the typhoon was estimated at 320 kilometers east of Itbayat, Batanes maximum sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 150 kph.
