Homeowners are taking action to prepare for whatever Hurricane Beryl may bring.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — On Friday, Padre Island homeowners were taking action to prepare for whatever3NEWS spoke to a couple of homeowners that say they began to board their windows up because of the uncertainty right now. Not knowing where exactly Beryl will make landfall is putting them on edge. Branden Green said he first started getting calls about putting up plywood in the community a week ago and now he is busy with back to back work.
Padre Islander Holly Ryon began hurricane preparations on her parents' home of 40 years on the Fourth of July. Another homeowner, Allie Dew who is awaiting the birth of her child said her family made the decision to board their home and head to San Antonio for safety. Ryon urges the community the best time to board up your home is now because waiting can become too late.
